What is your life built around? What values are you adding to your life by the things you do every day? Everything you do daily sums up to becoming the investment in your personality.
If you do the right things every day, you’re investing rightly. The wrong things will certainly form the wrong investment in your personality.
The common phrase that says, “Do what I say, but not what I do” is prominently associated with foolish people. Don’t get swayed by what people say because a man’s words are not a true assessment of his personality.
Talk without work is cheap, but a man is rated by his consistent actions and fruits. Works don’t validate who we are, but our character.
Words are loud, while actions are louder and that’s why actions speak better than words. Not until you walk the talk, people tag you as unserious.
It’s cheap to talk, but beneficial to walk the talk. Unfortunately, many people like cheap things. Great men maximise their influence for great impacts – they talk and walk the talk and achieve tremendous results.
Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”_
1 Corinthians 3:18-19 NIV
Many have chosen to be cunning or crafty instead of allowing the wisdom of God to take lordship over them and as such, they have become foolish by God’s standard.
It is foolishness to try to outsmart the creator of the world when you can never truly be smarter.
The wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God and can never grow to become wisdom no matter how nice it appears or appeals to the flesh.
Being good is great but being righteous is what’s approved by God. Being good is hard work and being righteous is free gift.
Why spend so much time daily to wear a make up that you’ll end up up washing off by the end of the day and can’t spend time for spiritual things that will profit you for eternity.
Martin Luther King Jr rightly said that the time is always right to do what’s right. Don’t waste your time on worthless things when you should be adding great worth to your personality.
_But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of thy6e world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption._
1 Corinthians 1:27-30 NIV
Why spend so much resources; time, energy and money (your life), to accumulate wealth, that will perish with this earth and can’t spend much more or your life in His will that will determine your eternal rewards?
_“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also._
Matthew 6:19-21 NIV
The truthful godly foreigners left their comfort zone (beautiful countries) and came to Africa to labour for the kingdom. Some even died in the process because of African challenges.
Yet, the fake African Christians do everything with it (including ungodly things) to ensure they go abroad and settle there for greener pastures and then raise fleshy hands shouting, “Hallelujah,” but they fail to know that God knows those who are His.
_Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”_
Timothy 2:19 NIV
Why mislead a fellow brother whom you are suppose to live for? Or why lead them in your own wisdom instead of God’s?
If we yield to the Spirit of God, the right works will be sponsored from our spirits.
_Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace._
