STAND FIRM – DON’T SUBMIT TO THE BONDAGE OF SLAVERY.

October 2, 2019 admin 0 Comments

Emancipate yourself from the stronghold of strong religious men who define doctrines for you without proof from consistent contextual scriptures. By so doing, they put you in bondage and don’t allow the glory of God to shine in your life.

Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.
Galatians 5:1 MSG

Someone said, “If I put on this dress, I’ll feel like a sinner.” That’s not the Holy Spirit – it’s a religious man who has taught you that doctrine. Some of the things you attribute to the Holy Spirit is a resounding voice of what you have been taught.

Some people cannot pray except they cover their hair. They feel like God will not hear them. Listen! That’s a religious stronghold that you need to take off.

Take your stand! Let your actions be backed up with scriptures. Read the pre-text and post-text to get the proper context. The Bible is not a clause, neither is it a sentence. It is a comprehension; a letter. Don’t let the fact that it was put in chapters confuse you.

The believers in Africa are being eaten up by syncretism. They’ve borrowed their traditional practice into the Church. What’s the difference between tying a white handkerchief in your car and a native doctor tying a red cloth on a tree? Maybe just the colour.

The Bible didn’t say that anointing oil is the temple of the Lord and the Spirit of God dwells therein, neither did it refer to a handkerchief as God’s temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
2 Timothy 1:6 KJV

Stir up the gift of God that is within you. What is the gift of God as expressed in the above scripture? The Holy Spirit. And why should we stir Him up? The density of the Holy Spirit is weightier than the density of the psuchē that we carry. So, because of the density difference, naturally, He will settle down but we have to stir Him up.

The Holy Ghost in us is an heterogeneous mixture and that’s why we have to stir Him up by praying in tongues. Because you try to use the anointing and it’s not working doesn’t mean you should seek for a means – that is idolatry and you must stay away from it (1 John 5:21).

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:6-14KJV

The veil remains even till this day. This is the reason I can’t keep shut.

If you have a very rich uncle, and he tells you to make a request, what would you ask of him? A lot of people will ask to receive money, but that’s not wisdom. The wise man will request him to show them how to make money rather than beg money from him.

Capacity building is more important than favour. That means learning to generate wealth for yourself is better than solving your problems.

Note that favour cast upon a reduced or an enslaved mind is stupidity.

If Jesus instituted the Church to meet your needs and not teach you how to solve your problems, then He would have been unwise. What is today’s Church built upon? They try to do you favours, but don’t want to establish grace with you.

What’s grace? Capacity! It expands you and helps you know how to get things done. Christ has been made unto you wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30).

In Matthew 5, all that Jesus mentioned as blessed, had nothing to do with materialism. That means some of the testimonies we share in the Church are errors. What should be our testimonies? Souls – that’s what makes heaven rejoice.

The things you practice today, is that what you saw Jesus, Paul or Peter do? Jesus did not organize a meeting to multiply the bread and fish. That miracle was performed in a meeting where the Word was taught. When He entered the synagogue, He read the scroll.

Who has spoilt you? The Church ought to be making solution providers and not a place where people come to seek solutions. That’s why Christ is dwelling in you – to bring help into you.

He promised not to leave you orphano (John 14:18). We have the helper living in us. We’re not the ones looking for help, but the ones offering help to the world. Until we are trained of the Word of God, we would be subjected to being a slave instead of being the master. When people put up programs trying to offer you some help, they’ve turned you to a slave.

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2 Corinthians 3:15 KJV

Moses represents the law. If Moses should not be read, what then should we read? Christ. There’s no veil upon my heart because I’m reading Christ, not the law.

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:1 KJV

When they say, “Your family is your first ministry,” I wonder what chapter and what book that was written. The interesting thing is that some of these people have a great platform. You miss a convention for your children’s vacation? You don’t know scriptures.

Jesus didn’t entertain anyone who wasn’t focused. “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62).

Don’t teach us religion. That it makes sense or aligns with our sentiments does not make it the gospel. The gospel is not fact; it is truth. What is truth? Jesus! (John 14:6). Anything outside Jesus is fact, no matter how much sense it makes.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:1 KJV

Followers, is from the Greek word, mimētēs which means to mimick or copy. So, if he’s not copying Christ, don’t copy him.

How do you know who is copying Christ? When we got born into Christ, we got born into the Word – the incorruptible Word of God that lives and abides forever (See, John 1:14; 1 Peter 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

When we find anyone’s life lead us not in sync with what the Word says, we have right to anathema (Galatians 1:8). It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been right, neither does it matter whether they are bonded with you by blood or whether you talk like them; separate yourself.

I’m trying to adjust your construction to get some things right. No matter how much you get, if your construction is wrong, you’ll naturally dispense wrongly. Colossians 3 says we should set our affection on things above. We have to set our construction to process as Christ, making Him our mentality.

Ephesians 4:20 says, “But ye have not so learned Christ;” So, you have to make Christ your mentality.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV

This is the big fight we need to fight – pulling down strongholds. Pull down every traditionalism that you’ve transplanted into the faith. Pull down every hypocrisy you manifest – live Christ.

Listen: that you look like Jesus doesn’t make you Jesus. Some demons appear as angels of light. There are wolves in sheep clothing.

Set yourself free from three things:

1. Wrong Leaders (Galatians 1:8).

You can stop being a protégé to a wrong mentor. Stop being subordinate to a wrong superior. As a man thinks, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). That means your world is formed by your thoughts.

2. Your Environ.

Anything you see often will soon become a part of you—it’s called the principle of repetition

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

It is your duty to cast down those formed images, not God’s. Anything that speaks against the knowledge of God in your life has to be brought down.

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Genesis 15:1 KJV

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Genesis 12:1-2 KJV

Certain places that you are will not allow the greatness that God has created you to be to manifest.

A certain location can be a limitation; it is not a spiritual problem, but a mental problem. If you compare a child that grew up in a poor environment and one that grew up in a very great environment, you’ll discover that they will not be mentally formed the same way. The struggle that most persons still fight to break free from today is a product of where they were raised.

Don’t watch things that destroy excellence in your mind because what you look at affects how you process. Free yourself from any form of mental slavery.

You had no idea what was going on in Abraham’s father’s house when God instructed him to leave. When he left, his name also changed.

You cannot create above what you see. This is what’s called exposure capacity – it enhances your creativity and exposes your mind.

Don’t be comfortable to speak bad English. You don’t know when it would be needed and that could just be the only reason you don’t amount to a certain level of greatness. Keep trying and soon, you’ll be able to express yourself using the right terms.

Upgrade your life. Free yourself. There are some colonialism traits that you should allow – speak well and dress well. But the wrong ones that make you slave of yourself, reject.

Slavery will never bring out the best out of you and will never allow the right things that speak to you from the environment penetrate you because it forms some kind of wall of limitation. You deserve to be happy, better, stronger, beautiful and to perform like Christ.

That you grew up in the village does not mean that your life should continue to dispense a village in the city. Jesus was born in a manger, but He didn’t live His life in a manger or as one born in one.

That you failed once doesn’t mean you’re doomed. See it as a mistake and press on. Nobody masters a thing without trying. Learn from your mistakes and make progress.

Don’t allow the devil hold your life down with the errors of your past to make you feel like there’s no hope for your future. Free yourself. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Ephesians 4:23-24 says, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Don’t be under any colonial master.

Sometimes, people are wrong because all that they know as right is wrong. Let the Word of God be your standard and it will bring glory out of your life.

You deserve to be the best and enjoy your life. Don’t take yourself back to bondage. Let your full potentials manifest by being transformed by the renewing of your mind and not conforming to this world (Romans 12:2). Until we change our mind to look like the Word, we cannot know the Word of God, the mind of God or the will of God.

3. Free You From Yourself.

He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30 KJV

You are your strongest enemy – the one you programmed and made out of the society and the things that the people have said.

That they called you a failure or a good for nothing doesn’t define you. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Deuteronomy 30:19 also says, “…I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

If people say the wrong things to you, reject it, but don’t be arrogant about it. Christ couldn’t have died for a failure. You’re a success – convince yourself.

Some persons are scared to get on things because they never feel like they can do anything. Listen: Christ is your wisdom and capacity. So, of course, you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been failing from, with Christ being your strength, you can. Never accept the wrong things suggested to you.

“Remember the family you came from oh!” That is a curse, not a blessing. They are simply telling you to repeat history and not create a new better one. Remember where you’re going. Put it in front of your eyes.

Your parents are not your source. They didn’t create you. You’re only a gift of trust to them; God is your source. Who should you look like? Almighty God. However, if they look like the Almighty, then it’s fine – makes it easier for you.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” You don’t train up a child the way you like him to go or the way you think he should go, but the way he should go.

Respect everybody, but don’t let humans of the flesh be your standard. Let the word of the one who works of the Word be your standard.

In these last days, it is so easy to get deceived and Satan is the master deceiver – he could work through anyone to ensure that you get off God’s course. Sometimes, they are not far from you. A man’s enemy are members of his household. If the devil finds them easily manipulative, he will use them against you.

Don’t use sentiments to make them your standard. Christ is your standard. Show them what the Word says. The one who loves God will take the correction, but the one who is blinded by his arrogance will not listen. If they choose not to listen, then you have every right to turn away, stay away, ban them or excommunicate them from your life (anathema).

Don’t allow poverty cause you to betray Jesus. All these materialism will pass away someday and we will all stand before the creator to give account of our lives. Material things have lifespan, but Jesus is life.

Don’t live for a temporary world; live for eternity. Don’t turn away from God because of the gains this world has to offer – live for the things that truly matter.
