Recently, I wrote to you on the need to walk in obedience and sacrifice greatly. And I said that any sacrifice upon disobedience is a waste. However, no great thing is sustained without commitment and consistency in sacrificing upon obedience.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Timothy 4:7 KJV
In life sometimes, you need to fight. That you’re in obedience and that you’re sacrificing doesn’t mean you will just get all the result you desire. You need to be consistent and refuse to be shaken. Fight!
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9 KJV
Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
Colossians 1:29 KJV
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 8:12 KJV
To agree to follow is an action of obedience. To follow is an action of sacrifice. To follow continually is an action of consistency.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:62 KJV
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13 KJV
You don’t jump on processes. Don’t be faster than yourself, neither should you fall victim of earthly impulse. Scripture even advises that we count the cost if we want to build a house. Don’t get involved in a course you cannot be committed to. A man who cannot be consistent to a course cannot sustain greatness.
You need to move consistently in the will of God; that’s what will heap something great for you in eternity and on earth.
You want to live a life where the devil leaves you to fulfil the will of God? Where does that happen? Satan keep strategizing to bring you down, this is why you must be consistent with God’s Word and fight the good fight.
Consistency is a sign of discipline. Anyone who cannot remain consistent in what he ought is a babe. Children can act or talk like adults sometimes, but it doesn’t make them adults. Consistency in your confession, conversation or action no matter how pressed or pressured you are is what defines your maturity status.
Obey, sacrifice and be committed to the will of God and you’ll enjoy great results.
