YOUR GREATEST ENEMY.

Who killed Goliath; David or the stone? I’m sure someone will say, “David or all of the above.”

The truth is: it was God who killed Goliath through David. If Goliath wasn’t confident in his strength, he might just have lived.

Notice that the children of God were failing in the battlefield because they couldn’t trust in God above sight – Goliath’s height and skills. It was for this same reason that those who saw themselves as grasshoppers were killed like grasshoppers (Numbers 13:33). But Caleb and Joshua who thought differently, survived.

David’s trust in God caused God to kill Goliath through him.

Who killed Samson? Delilah or the Philistines? In perfect light of truth, none of these options are correct.

Even if there were 10,000 Philistine soldiers, they couldn’t have been able to defeat Samson. Do you know why? Samson’s strength was not of this world; it was divine. As long as no one can defeat God, no army could have defeated Samson, no matter how strong or many they are.

Samson was raised a terror to the Philistines. He killed a lion with his bare hands (Judges 14:5-6), lifted the gate of a city on his shoulder and walked over 46 miles (Judges 16:3), he killed a thousand Philistine soldiers with the jaw bone of a donkey (Judges 15:15-16). Just imagine what he could have done with a spear or sword!

So, who killed Samson? The answer is Samson’s indiscipline. Yes! Samson killed himself!

A man is his greatest enemy. What an enemy cannot do to a man, he would do to himself.

Samson killed himself. He delivered himself to Delilah by using his own mouth to tell the secret of his power. Falling in love with Delilah wasn’t the biggest problem but the discipline to leave unsaid what shouldn’t be said, because of what he wanted to enjoy – that was his greatest challenge.

Why will a man, for temporal pleasure, reveal a secret that has great benefit? Samson’s life promised so much but delivered so little. That’s why one must not make life changing decisions on temporal feelings.

People ruin their lives by their own stupidity, so why does GOD always get blamed?

Proverbs 19:3 MSG

Nobody can ruin your life except you do with your own hands or allow them in your faithlessness, lack of love and/or indiscipline.

Don’t cast blames on God, your parents, the government, your enemies, etc. You are the architect of your life; you are your greatest enemy or greatest blessing, depending on where you tilt towards.

Even if your grandparents had done any evil, until you hit the “trigger,” it won’t explode on your face. Why are those who don’t kill witches prospering? Why do we still find those who kill witches suffer?

Always deal with issues from the root. Else, it will come back to you. Mind your belief system, the values you add to your life and be disciplined to only permit the will of God in your life.

No Satan or witch has the power to destroy you, no matter how much they hate you; you’re the only one who can kill you, by your stupid actions.

In Matthew 28, Jesus declared that all power had been given unto Him. In John 16:33, Jesus said, “I have overcome the world for you.”

1 John 4:4 says, “Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.” But why do you still hold on to your sentiments above the Word of God?

When the enemies try in vain to kill you, they lie in wait and allow you to kill yourself by your actions (when you can’t comprehend Satan’s tricks).

Goliath, the champion, couldn’t hurt the Israelites but instilled fear in them. Their lack of trust in God made them limited (1 Samuel 17).

The Egyptians couldn’t hurt Moses, but anger caused him to lose the promise land (Numbers 20:9-12).

When king Jeroboam stretched his hand against the prophet, his hand dried up. The king couldn’t hurt him, but his own disobedience turned him a lion’s prey (1 Kings 13:4, 24).

Your greatest enemy isn’t outside you, it’s in you—your belief system and your negligence of the Word of God. Millions are killing themselves with their own mouth by what they say, do and believe. Our decisions create what we enjoy or suffer.

Hundreds of thousands of divorces and breakups happen every year because people destroy their own marriages and homes with their own hands. The husband or wife isn’t the problem. It starts with your choice and how you are willing to bend to what will work that God approves of.

Proverbs 14:1 says, “Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.”

Peradventure you fail, don’t look far away; look inwards. What you yield yourself to will either destroy or bless you. If you continue to yield yourself to foolishness or feelings, you can’t live to full manifestation of God’s glory – in His will.

Every man has a seed of sin deposited in him through his Adamic nature but those born in Christ have the seed of righteousness and prosperity planted in them. We must nurture it by growing with the Word. Yielding to the Spirit helps you not to fulfil the lust of the flesh. This means that anger, pride, jealousy, greed, lust, faithlessness and foolishness will not have a hold on you. These won’t just limit your future, they might have been limiting you already.

No matter what people say or do to you, it will not promote your life if you don’t first accept change by the Word. Trust what’s higher above what’s convenient.

Do you know that no matter how much people die of cancer and diabetes, people won’t stop smoking and drinking? A man signs his own death warrant in his continuous foolish actions?

Kill that seed before it kills you. Grow your will to stick to discipline in His will before you end up in regrets.

Quit that negative habit, now!

Quit the laziness, now!

Quit the “prayerlessness,” now!

Quit the negative feeling, now!

You have power in Christ, but you must first take the action.

Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Ephesians 5:14 KJV

Paul didn’t say that we should pray for Christ to help us. No! When we awake, there’s light made available.

In Ephesians 6:10, Paul says that we should be strong in the strength of the Lord. Stop praying for strength but start taking advantage of the strength of Christ. There is strength in Christ made available for you. Maximise it.

The devil is but an ADVANTAGE TAKER. We are the real enemies of ourselves. The Devil needs us to get us. We are the Big Factor and he knows. We have the final say, not even God (so to say) because He has put all things in our power.

Scriptures didn’t say, “Whatever we bind in heaven is bound on earth.” It says, “Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18).

The devil is that thief that doesn’t burgle into your house. He knocks on the door and as you open up to him, he steals, kills and destroys. Adam didn’t submit his authority to Satan at gunpoint. Rather, in Satan’s craftiness, he took it.

Your greatest enemy isn’t a man or a spirit or Satan but you. Yes, You!

Start making you function as your greatest blessing by the Holy Ghost that lives in you.

You’ve been created the best. Manifest as the best. Enjoy your life!
